Made for everyday meals, messy moments and years of family living. Caring for your Rommer silicone is simple - a thorough wash, a good rinse and you’re ready for the next meal.

Our entire silicone range is made from premium LFGB-certified, platinum-cured food-safe silicone. Non-toxic and free from BPA and phthalates, it meets strict food-contact testing requirements, including assessments for odour and taste neutrality.

Soft, durable and non-porous, it’s thoughtfully chosen for repeated everyday use, from first tastes to family dinners.

Everyday cleaning

Wash thoroughly before first use and after each meal.

  • Dishwasher: All Rommer silicone pieces are dishwasher safe. Position them so water can reach every surface.
  • Hand washing: Wash in hot, soapy water with a soft sponge or brush, then rinse thoroughly.
  • Cups and lids: Separate removable parts and clean around lid grooves and through straws.
  • Drying: Allow each piece to dry completely before reassembling or storing.

Food residue, smells or a soapy taste?

Our silicone is selected for its neutral taste and smell. However, food oils, sauces and detergent can leave a film on the surface - even when a piece looks clean.

Treat this as you would residue on any other plate: give it another thorough wash. Soak in hot, soapy water, gently clean with a soft sponge and rinse well. Alternatively, use a hotter dishwasher cycle suitable for the other items in your load.

If you notice a soapy taste or fragrance, try an unscented detergent and an extra rinse. Avoid abrasive scourers or harsh cleaners.

If you notice a lingering food or detergent residue, a thorough wash and rinse will help remove it from the surface. 

Heating and storing 

Our all-silicone pieces are microwave safe, freezer safe and oven safe up to 220°C. Always follow the care instructions supplied with your product.

These instructions apply to silicone pieces only. Never put stainless steel smoothie cups or toddler cutlery in the microwave.

Made to use again and again

Durable, reusable pieces mean fewer replacements over time. For everyday cleaning, wash with a full dishwasher load or use a basin for hand washing, saving a hotter wash for stubborn residue.
